Black and Grey Alpacas raised in the Wiltshire Countryside

Lanhill Alpacas is situated in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wiltshire, England. The Stud is around 1 mile west of the historical town of Chippenham located just off the Bristol Road.

Since we took ownership of the land, we have improved our grazing through re-seeding and cultivating to create an Alpaca friendly area to ensure that the Alpacas are bred in a healthy environment.

Lanhill Alpacas was established near Chippenham with the purchase of top quality breeding grey and black female Alpacas from Inca Alpacas. Our aim is to constantly improve the genetics and phenotype (appearance) of each generation of our Alpaca offspring – by careful selection of the herd sires in association with Tim Hey at Inca Alpacas.  The herd is constantly growing and is thriving in its Wiltshire environment.

Alpacas for Sale

We are breeders of Huacaya Alpacas. Our intention is to be a medium sized breeder (approx. 50 alpacas). For a completely different Alpaca experience and to see our Alpacas for sale, come and meet us, our Alpacas and discover how manageable Alpacas can be.

We always have a wide selection of Alpacas for sale

Our for sale section gives an idea of our available stock – but in addition, we can put together sale packages as we rarely list all our Alpacas for sale, so if you were looking for a particular colour or group size we can almost certainly accommodate you.

Our Latest Addition

Last year we welcomed the arrival of 5 female and 2 Male Cria’s (baby).

They are all developing well and have been weaned successfully.

You can find out more about our herd of Alpacas on our for sale page.

Alpaca Info

Alpacas should ideally be checked at least twice a day. First thing in the morning and late afternoon are the ideal times. The best way to do this is to walk quietly through your herd looking for any signs of unusual behaviour (eg one alpaca sitting or separated from the herd for long periods when the rest of the herd has moved on).

Given our experience, we are very happy to guide you through the whole process whether you are looking for a starter herd – or to discuss individual requirements for an established herd. We also offer husbandry days for new owners which gives complete peace of mind prior to delivery.
